Summary: 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com is North America's largest non-profit homeless pet adoption service and is sponsored by pet industry giants including Nestle-Purina and Bayer HealthCare. The Manager of Online Marketing is a full time employee responsible for SEO, website link exchange, and other online initiatives specifically geared at increasing 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com search engine website traffic, with the ultimate goal of increasing homeless pet adoptions.

Essential Functions:
- Set and meet website traffic increase goals
- Execute strategies designed to increase website traffic via organic search engine ranking (search engine optimization) and links from third party websites.
- Identify and prioritize relevant search terms
- Develop lists of highly ranked websites for specific search terms
- Contact related websites for link exchanges
- Create and monitor search term landing pages
- Develop and execute a linking campaign with animal shelters and other animal welfare organizations
- Identify appropriate search engine sponsored link programs
- Stay abreast of the latest news and trends in search engine optimization

Qualifications: You should be proactive, creative, and goal oriented. Experience in SEO is preferred, although we can train you if you have good aptitude. You should be web savvy, and experience in website development or database management is a plus. You must have a track record of creating and maintaining an effective daily work structure under limited supervision, ideally from your home or remote office (a California resident is preferred). You should have and be able to cite a track record of setting specific goals and achieving them.
